I thought I would get in on the action of blogging some as well. I am so proud of my family and this is a great way to share with others. Mandy is such a great mom and a loving wife. She is my best friend and it is an honor to be doing this thing called life with her. She is firmly grounded in God's word and is my rock. Together we made two amazing children that we love to death.
Each is so uniquely different. Landen is truly all boy and Madelynn is truly all girl. It is cowboy meets princess scenario daily. I love to hear them laugh more than anything. There are few things more precious than hearing your 4 and 3 yr old laughing uncontrollably. They are growing up so quickly right before our eyes. I told Mandy tonight that I wish I was able to spend more time with them as I work long hours. I feel like I miss so much but I also realize even if I spent most of my day with them it would not feel like enough. I have decided that Landen is not allowed to turn 5 and Madelynn has to stay 3 as well :)
I have to share a quick story. We have a routine of reading a cartoon picture Bible with Landen and Madelynn at night before we say our prayers and put them to bed. Landen noticed that all of the characters in the Bible all had long beards and wanted to know why they did not ever shave. Landen always tells me I need to shave with the slightest sign of stubble. I proceeded to tell him that razors had not been invented yet and they didn't have a way to shave like we can now. Landen pondered the idea for a few moments and asked me very seriously and curiously, "You are telling me that Noah built a big huge ark that held all of the animals in it and nobody had invented a razor!??? " His thought processing blew me away and I got such a kick out of how serious he was. It has been fun sharing the story with my patients and friends. This has been fun and I look forward to sharing more good stuff.
